I went to get my blood pressure checked on thursday after i developed a headache after driving for a long distance. my first reading was 144/93 and the second one 146/92. i was checking my bpmpr from my reader and its 93 now.

High blood pressure: These readings indicate that you have essential hypertension (stage 1) Talk to your GP about lifestyle changes you can do to lower these numbers. If they persist, you may need medication to lower them in order to relieve the extra work on your heart and prevent problems with strokes.

Checkup: Your BP readings are borderline elevated and suggests that you may benefit from treatment. See your regular doctor and have this further investigated. Remember that hypertension is regarded as the "silent killer", and prevention here is worth a ton of cure.
