5-7 days after : The medical community is in agreement that after a close exposure to someone who has tested positive, testing at days 5-7 provide the most accurate results. Prior to this you may get a false negative. You should quarantine during this period, even if you have no symptoms so as not to spread the virus if you eventually turn out positive.
