If warfarin was discontinued because blood became dangerously thin while taking it. then 3-1/2 days after discontinuation, an un-related antibiotic need arises. will taking the antibiotic alone [with no more warfarin] cause blood to thin further?

Prolonged pro time: Since the half life of warfarin is over 36 hours, the safest policy would be to check your prothrombin time again and if not still pro!onged the antibiotic shouldn't affect your bloods clotting ability. If still mildly prolonged and your MD doesn't want you to take vitamin K to normalize it, I recommend checking pro times daily.while taking antibiotics until pro time is.no longer prolonged.
