I think i have had pilonidal cryst for few weeks as i have a red bump on the exact location that it happens but i can sit and it doesn't have pain and in one occasion it bled on its own and had some discharge. at what point shall i visit a doctor?

Pilonidal cyst : If you can keep the area clean and dry and covered with a nonstick bandage, also soak in a warm tub bath for 3 times daily, 15 minutes per session to see if he can calm the wound down without having any surgical intervention, it would be worth a try. If he began having more pain or more discharge or fever you should go in right away. Treatment to cure would require a surgical evaluation.
