Heart rates vary: Cardiac activity of a 6 wk embryo, of a 15-30 wk fetus or of a "baby" can change frequently depending on many maternal and other factors. A heart rate of 111bpm heard for just a few minutes at 6wk 5 days may need to be recorded again to tell if it is persistent or transient. Science may not be able to predict accurately your risk of miscarriage based on the heart rate of your embryo alone.
