A member asked:

I had a breast reduction 3 years ago, one of the breast is enlarging. what does it mean? will i need another operation again? please advise?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Breast surgery ?'s: Breast reduction surgery is not precise in removal of exactly equal amounts of breast tissue on both sides, so with post surgery production of estrogen from the ovaries, asymmetric effects may cause different sizes to occur. Use of oral bcp's may be a way to reduce the estrogen causing this growth, but see your surgeon for more specific advice.
