I am currently on post exposure profilaxis (pep) for hiv. mid way in my 30-day medication journey, i forgot to take a dosage for one day. wis there any adverse effects? should i take 2 dosages the following day to accommodate for the skip?

Best to discuss doc: I don't know if you have an ID doctor who is prescribing your PEP, but this question would best be directed at that physician. In general, though, for PEP, if you forget just one days dose you should indeed double up the next dose,or as soon as you remember, whichever is first. If it's more than one day's dosing, you absolutely need to speak with prescribing physician, as change may be needed.

I had a high risk exposure (unprotected sex multiple times a night) with unknown HIV status person mid Jan. Since then, I did 4th generation duo tests at days: 35, 50, 80 and 100 days + RT PCR and antibody at 90 days. All negative/undetectd. Am I OK?
