I recently received post exposure profilaxis (pep) after a suspected exposure to the hiv. the pep giving to me is just one medication(30pcs). what i read online is that it's a combination of 3 drugs. so i don't know if what i was given is correct?

Correct: Prophylaxis post exposure for HIV is comprised of 2 medications (Tenofovir and emcitrabine) There are several manufacturers that combine these meds into one pill for ease of treatment (Truvada, Descovy). Actual treatment of an HIV positive individual is comprised of 3 meds. These can also be combined into one pill (Symtuza, Biktarvy)
