Whats the impact of having high protein levels (++++) in a urine of a pregnant woman, at 22 weeks? also checked blood pressure, it was normal. the concern is the high protein. should we be very worried? whats the treatment? dos and donts?

High urine protein: Higher levels of protein may suggest a possible urinary tract infection or kidney disease. Preeclampsia may be a concern if higher levels of protein are found later in pregnancy, combined with high blood pressure. Have your Dr do a urinalysis with culture and check your blood pressure daily and report any readings higher than 120/70 to your OB Dr.
