Can kids develop eye stye due to long screen time? is that a contributing factor? thanks?

It can be....: Stys develop when the glands along the lash line get inflamed and then plugged up. Eye dryness, irritation and allergies, along with poor hygiene can predispose to development of stys. Prolonged screen times and rubbing eyes can cause this irritation and dryness. I make my grandchildren, who are virtually learning this school year, take 1/2 hour off of screen for every 2 hrs on out of school.
