Sometimes bad luck: Though it could be related to you having thicker secretions around the eye. You could try using warm compresses regularly in the morning and evening. Also make sure you hygeine is good so that you aren't spreading bacteria in that region and don't share cosmetics. You could have other inflammatory issues around the eye - like blepharitis - that may contribute too. See a doctor for more help.
