Tonsils post-infx: It sounds like the infection cleared up ok , but you have more concern about changes present in your tonsils and the inflammation. If this is a one time thing, i'd give it another 4-8 weeks as long as you have no symptoms. The inflammation in the area can take weeks to settle down. Gargling with salt water may help as well. Keep hydrated and get plenty of rest.
