Re: my 1st colonoscopy - dr was great... he removed one large polyp from my transverse colon and several small ones elsewhere. i am glad he found something, but then he said no alcohol for 10 days. i feel fine. why is alcohol forbidden?

Polypectomies: Usually alcohol is not recommended for 24 hours after a colon polypectomy to minimize bleeding tendency, but you had a large polyp removed has well as several small ones, so I assume your doctor was being extra cautious. Are there also other reasons you may be more predisposed to easy bleeding?
