Depends on your family history of colon cancer which you did not tell us&your own history of polyps as well as the accuracy of the Dr who did the examination. It is possible, but not likely, that the Dr missed a small polyp that was precancerous and has evolved into a "real" cancer or needs to be followed up in . The advice, in general, is every 10 years. Best to discuss with your Dr.

Despite your constipation You should be reassured that there is no colon malignancy present. Drink plenty of fluids and include fiber in your diet.
