Rarely used: Medications to stop BM production have have not been used routinely in the USA for decades. Gradually eliminating 1 feed every 2-3 days, feeding for 2-3 min/side to quell engorgement discomfort followed by bottle, cold turkey+ binding are all useful methods.

Breastfeeding: We discourage stopping breastfeeding in most cases, but if stopping is desirable, pills are unnecessary and milk production without feeding or pumping usually stops in 5-7 days.
