Usually 2-7 days: Everyone is different. You need to do no breast stimulation, get a tight breast binder or sports bra, and you can use ice and Motrin will help. There used to be a great oral medication to dry the breasts , but a few people had side effects that may or may not have been due to the medication, so they sued and the company took it off the market years ago. We used to use it for almost everyone.
