A member asked:

Is a hemorrhagic cyst considered a complex cyst? i have a "complex cyst" 2.2 cm x 2.4 cm (grew over the course of 1 month by 5 mm) and free fluid in the cervix and posterior cul-de-sac?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Ovarian cyst : If a cyst on the ovary is described as simple, it usually has a very thin wall with fluid that is not mixed with blood or other cellular products. If it is not a simple cyst, and it is described as hemorrhagic or with other cells, a gynecological surgeon needs to see the patient for a biopsy to determine if there are any elements of cancer.
