Should i be concerned about a complex cyst that is 2.3 cm? im 26 with normal ovarian blood flood. i couldnt tell if my doctor was concerned, but she recommended a follow-up in 3 months. i dont understand why she didnt seen me to oncology?

Complex cyst: If you are having regular periods then complex cysts can be monitored with serial ultrasounds. The oncologist would recommend the same thing, so an oncologist referral would be needed with a more definitive cancer diagnosis in this case.

B&M features: During ultrasound, ovarian mass is evaluated for features of likely benign mass ( unilocular, presence of <7 mm solid area, presence of acoustic shadows, smooth multi loci large<100mm tumor, no blood flow). Malignant mass is irregular solid tumor with ascites, multi locular solid tumor, diameter > 100 mm, very strong blood flow. At times it is not conclusive then repeat U/S with biopsy is next
