Hi , i am 33 years old.i have ovarian cyst 5 cm. my doctor said it is hemorrhagic cyst.what kida test can tell the cyst is benign? thanks.

Repeat ultrasound: Ultrasound examination usually defines cyst of ovary as fluid filled. Sometimes echogencity of lining is suggestive of hemorrhage. Repeat ultrasound exam in few weeks with disappearance of cyst is definite evidence of benign lesion. If solid components are associated with the cyst tumor can be suspected. Then either other imaging such as mr or surgical biopsy might be performed.
