Second opinion: You possibly misheard the surgeon. Virtually no operation is worth undertaking with only 10% survival rate. Even the most complex and dangerous operations have a better prognosis than 90% non-survival. You have not shared your diagnosis or kind of surgery needed, but, but second opinion is required whatever it is.
