Please tell me if you can get both a doctor of dental surgery (dds) and doctor of dental medicine (dmd)?

Technically yes...: If you go to dental school twice... Which is totally unnecessary. Dental schools confer either a dds or dmd degree to their graduates. Both degrees are the same in the eyes of state licensing boards. But why would you want to pay tuition twice for the same degree?
