Hard,tender calf: This may be a hardened hematoma as a result of some blood that accumulated under the skin when your leg was injured. It may not dissolve after this prolonged period and most likely needs to be removed by a surgeon making a small incision if it is an organized fibrotic subcutaneous hematoma. You should also be examined by the surgeon to rule out phlebitis in the calf vein or a ruptured Baker's cyst
