A member asked:

Have eye allergies and use opatanol but my eyes are quite red when i wake up. can you suggest what may be the problem and what solutions there are?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Allergen overload: You may have pollen in your hair and cause issues for your eyes overnight. Wash your hair at night to see if it helps. Patanol is a twice daily medicine so if not using an evening dose you may need to dose twice. You may choose to add on an oral antihistamine. Would recommend something non sedating as opposed to Diphenhydramine unless at night.
