Quite rare.: You are very tuned in, to understand the SVC syndrome is a possibility, although rare. It merits a visit to a cardiologist who can take a careful history, perform a physical exam and arrange appropriate studies including an EKG, chest X-rays and an echocardiogram to search for an answer as to the cause of prominent veins.
