A doctor has provided 1 answer

Resp distress: You should bring your child to see a doctor, asap, emergency room, since needs to be assessed in terms of respiratory status. After that, the MD can determine if wheezing is viral (bronchiolitis) or asthma attack. If asthma, needs an Albuterol (Proair) inhaler to breath and calm coughing. In addition, a CXR can assess whether a pneumonia is present requiring an antibiotic as well.
