I slept four hours yesterday for a nap and then eight hours at bedtime last night. have never slept this much before no health issues is this something i should be concerned about?

No: Sleep is one of your bodies way of healing. If you are feeling fine its OK. As you age your sleep habits change. Seasonal changes occur as well due to wintertime sunlight lessening. Resting is fine.
