Get it checked!: While we don't think of men as having breasts, we do and we can get breast cancer. If you feel a lump, see your primary care physician for a prompt evaluation.

Breast lump: Sudden appearance of a tender lump in the breast often is caused by a blocked duct. In a male benign gynecomastia is a more common cause,also. However a tumor can also cause this. I'm a firm believer that all breast lumps are best evaluated by a breast surgeon even when the mammogram is negative. Consult one for peace of mind.
