About

Bio

Dr. Patel is licensed and board certified in Family Medicine and Osteopathic Manipulation. He completed medical school at Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (Downers Grove, IL) in 2005 and his residency training at Resurrection Family Practice of Resurrection Medical Center (Chicago, IL) in 2008. After that, Dr. Patel chose to work in rural areas to further develop and refine his medical skills and serve patients of all ages that had limited access to specialists and other medical providers. This included a couple trips to the small tourist city of Ketchikan, Alaska with a population of less than 7500 residents. Dr. Patel started to make house calls in 2009 and has been making them since. When his schedule permits, Dr. Patel volunteers his services at free clinics and other venues. Dr. Patel enjoys spending time with his patients so they can be better informed and healthier. He has spent the last few years refining a list of other providers and services to benefit his unique patients. If needed, he can arrange for the following to be done in the patient's home as well: x-rays, ultrasounds (including echocardiograms), blood work, and many other services. For those services which cannot be done in the home setting, he will help arrange for medical transport services if other modes of transportation are not available. Please, call our office if you have any questions and we will be more than happy to assist you.

Specialties
Doctors may have more than one area of specialty interest. Board certification in a specialty area means the doctor has completed formal training and has practice experience in that specialty, and has passed the certification examination from the corresponding accredited medical specialty board.
