Heart: Is a vital organ. When pain is believed to involve heart, time becomes important in addressing the symptoms. The majority of times the cause of the pain is found not to be life threatening, but ruling out significant heart issues becomes an emergency. There are unfortunately no ways of sorting it out on subjective grounds and an exam with tests is always needed.
