Centipede bites: If you experience headache, dizziness, palpitations, nausea, swollen lymph nodes, increased blood pressure or significant tissue damage after a centipede bite then you need medical attention. Deaths possibly related to centipede bites in US are extremely rare. Not so rare in other parts of the world. If you live in the Mediterranean, South America & Asia - there are poisonous species of Centipedes
