Good job: If the swelling has went down and there are no large sores or wounds that are present you can watch it for now. Sometimes there are delayed reactions so keep a close observation of the area where you were bitten and if it should develop more swelling or increase in pain you should have it checked by a provider. Make sure you are having no other numbness or problems around the area. Keep it clean

Centipede bite: Wash the wound with water ; soap. You can take Tylenol or an NSAID for pain. Antihistamines can be used for itching. Check your tetanus status. If skin in the area is necrotic then you will need wound care. If you live in the Mediterranean, South America & Asia - there are poisonous species of Centipedes
