My wife found a strange looking insect bite on her foot. not sure if its dangerous to her. 3 straight scratch marks and small black dot. not itchy.

Dangerous?: Doesn't sound like it is especially if it is just marks and no symptoms, pain, fever, redness swelling or itching? Sure it was an insect bite? Hard to say without a picture or more history but it is unlikely to be of any consequence if it does not bother her. Would see a practitioner if it is still of concern.
