Not necessarily: If the bruise/lump is not growing you may wait for it to resolve. It would have been useful to have used cold compress within the first 24 hours. Now you may use a warm compress to facilitate the healing. The bruise will go through color changes. If you develop discharge at the site, swelling increases, you get fever or breathing difficulty, see your doctor. Wish you good health!
