Probably none: Sometimes applying heat will allow smaller pustules to rise to the skin surface & drain/heal. However, large abscesses often form a tough rhine surrounding the pus ball that must be removed surgically or the abscess will continue to form. Ignore it for too long & it may put the person in the hospital with blood poisoning.
