IUD bleeding ?'s: If you've had good results with the use of a "copper IUD" and sustained bleeding occurs, the IUD may have been pushed into the cervical canal by uterine contractions. See your gyn physician for an exam, and he/she may order a pelvic sonogram. If the IUD is properly located, your physician may also order a serum HCG test for pregnancy.
