I am currently on my period for the past 13 days, i've never had any issues with period before, always regular, i've had the copper iud inserted 6 weeks after birth which was last year, i had 2 kids and never period problems before, what could it be?

IUD bleeding ?'s: If you've had good results with the use of a "copper IUD" and sustained bleeding occurs, the IUD may have been pushed into the cervical canal by uterine contractions. See your gyn physician for an exam, and he/she may order a pelvic sonogram. If the IUD is properly located, your physician may also order a serum HCG test for pregnancy.
