Is it possibly normal to not have a period 8 weeks after a copper iud is inserted?

If not pregnant,: check a pregnancy test to be sure, this likely irregular ovulation, could be from insulin resistance/polycystic ovarian syndrome. Copper IUD's don't suppress the period at all, possibly make it heavier.
