Local care: The numbness may be associated temporarily, but if it persists, please see your physician. The insect bites may be treated topically with an antihistamine cream and low dose steroid cream, applied twice daily. Watch for signs of an allergic reaction involving in particular swallowing and breathing. Watch for signs of infection, including enlargment of the swelling and drainage.
