Thoughts: Extremely hot is hard to reply to when no temperature is given. Infants often run higher fever than adults during even minor self healing illnesses. Some normal infants don't have teeth erupt until a year or later. I don't ascribe to an idea that they ever run high fever with teething. Most just suck more on their fingers or a teething ring. Extremely hot: Too vague to be diagnostic. Low grade fever has been anecdotally associated with teething, not high fever that's probably due to virus. First, buy a thermometer, take child's temperature. Then, especially if temperature above 38C, call Pediatrician. Keep child hydrated. Once 1st tooth erupts see a children's dental specialist, a Pedodontist.
