Residual liquid: Saline nasal Washes are a great way to clear mucus, bacteria/viruses, and particulates from your sinuses and nasal passages. It is important that after you do the saline nasal wash, you take care to empty your nasal passages and sinuses. You can do this by bending over so that your head is by your knees (excess liquid will pour out of your nose). Gently blow your nose with a tissue or cloth.
