Tooth Extraction: It is not uncommon to have some pain for a few days after an extraction. OTC pain meds will usually suffice. Stiffness in jaw could be a strained muscle from keeping your mouth wide open for the extraction.

Pain/stiffness: There will be some post-surgical pain. After all, you did have surgery. If it does not begin to diminish by 48 hours post-surgery, call the Dentist or Oral Surgeon that treated you.
