My 9 year old sister had chicken pox about two months ago, but the scars remain. what can be done to remove them?

Chickenpox scars: If the skin changes are just dark spots on the skin without indentations, they will eventually fade. Unfortunately if there are indentations there isn't anything that can be done right now. Please see your dermatologist to see if anything can be done to improve the existing scars.

Improve not remove : These scars can be excised but will only be replaced with another scar. Many options exist and will vary depending on the depth, width and severity ofthe scar. Fillers, dermabrasion, needing, resurfacing (laser or mechanical) peels, grafting, revision and many other alternatives should be discussed with an experienced physician and surgeon. Vlpl may help to diminish redness but you may try test.
