Improve not remove : These scars can be excised buttery will only be replaced with another scar. Many options exist and will vary depending on the depth, width and severity ofthe scar. Fillers, dermabrasion, needing, resurfacing (laser or mechanical) peels, grafting, revision and many other alternatives should be discussed with an experienced physician and surgeon.

Scars are permanent!: But the deep or bad ones can be improved by excision, and others can be minimized by chemical peels, dermabrasion, and laser resurfacing. Unfortunately, all scars are permanent and can not be completely eliminated or removed by any technique or surgeon in existence. See an abps-certified plastic surgeon for all the available options.
