A member asked:

I have multiple palpable lymph nodes on the right side of my neck since a year. all are 0.5 cm in diameter or less. the biggest one is 0.4 cm in diameter and 1.1 cm in length. oval shaped. not too soft, but not hard. moveable. should i be worried?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No. But see a doctor: If you are otherwise in good health these nodes may have been there longer than you think and may well represent old healed infection. It is impossible to know this for sure and the best way to deflect worry is to see a doctor who may be able to reassure you on the spot or may require further testing up to and including biopsy to give you the ultimate peace of mind, a diagnosis.
