Pain under right rib under sternum and to the right. i stopped drinking 9 months ago after doctor in a&e said i should stop for 6 months. but pain still comes and goe's. no symptoms apart from soreness/ stabbing pain?

Right sternal pains: Discomfort under the right side of the sternum could be musculoskeletal, pulmonary,gastric,gall bladder or liver related. In addition to a physical examination, chest xray, ultrasound of upper abdomen and liver function blood work would be how I would start the evaluation of your symptoms.
