The bottom of my tongue is swollen, do i see a dr or dentist?

Dentist: Dentist spends 4 years in Dental School concentrating on oral and peri-oral problems, then spends his/her professional life treating dent-facial discrepancies. Physician spends 4 years of medical school learning about the whole body, with a small amount of that time, and a small amount of his/her practice, treating dento-facial problems.
