Can i give my 4 1/2 year old 2.5ml benadryl at night and then 2.5 zyrtec and 2.5 delysm in the morning for a cough and allergies?

Depends on : It is not quite clear whether child was diagnosed as having 'allergies' to account for cough and other symptoms. If so, he/she should be given only 2.5 mg of Zyrtec (long acting antihistamine) once a day. Over-The-Counter med such as Delsym is not proven effective for 'cold' or 'allergies.'
