Variety of reasons: Vertigo is typically traced to inflammation of the inner ear labyrinth, inflammation of the vestibular nerve, a buildup of fluid in the inner ear, or particles/crystals of calcium carbonate in the semicircular canals. Other more rare conditions such as stroke, migraines, syphillis, growth in the ear or multiple sclerosis can rarely be the cause. Continue to pursue a diagnosis with your Dr.
