Have had upper back strain for 24 hours now. mostly felt when i turn my neck far left or right. woke up today with tingling in left thumb, index, middle. tingling has persisted for over two hours now. related to the back issue?

Impingment: I suspect the problem is a bulging or herniated intervertebral disc or a spur in you lower neck pressing on a nerve root. I'd expect more symptoms on turning your head to the left. I recommend consulting a neurologist or neurosurgeon to evaluate and advise you about treatment options. An MRI of the cervical spine will most likely be ordered.
