Lots you can do: Insomnia is a common but frustrating condition. First try a stable bedtime routine where you turn off screens 2 hours before bed, engage in soothing activities such as reading, meditation/prayer, listening to music, warm bath etc at the same time every night. If that doesn't work, try melatonin or other OTC sleep aids. If nothing else works, see a Dr for a sleep study.

Stress is ...: Stress is a common issue with multiple causes. Talking over the issues with a trusted Friend/ Family or Healthcare Provider helps. Meanwhile OTC Melatonin taken at Sunset helps. But addressing the Stress issues provides more lasting solution.
