High mpv: A high MPV means your bone marrow is producing larger than normal platelets. I have seen this with both low and high platelet counts in patients with bone marrow pathology or autoimmune caused low platetet counts. . If your total platelet count was normal(150000-450000) and all your platelets aren't large, then I doubt any problems. A hematologist is best consult for evaluation and advice.

Need more info: All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, if the only abnormality is your MPV, you may ignore it. Wish you good health!
